ABOUT THE ROLE

Join a healthtech AI team building production systems for complex clinical workflows. You will work across engineering and customer-facing collaboration to deliver reliable AI tools that support high-stakes healthcare operations.


WHAT YOU'LL DO

 - Scope and architect AI solutions for ambiguous clinical problems, from early discovery through production specifications.

 - Build and deploy retrieval-augmented generation pipelines, multi-agent workflows, and systems that extract structured information from clinical records.

 - Integrate solutions with healthcare data systems and standards, including EHR, FHIR, and HL7.

 - Monitor deployed systems, tune performance, and make ongoing improvements based on real-world results.

 - Identify opportunities to expand AI adoption with customer teams and partner with product and clinical safety colleagues to improve outcomes.

 - Communicate clearly with clinical, operational, and technical stakeholders.


WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

 - Proficiency in Python and understanding of prompt engineering.

 - Experience with infrastructure as code, such as Terraform or similar tools.

 - Zero to one year of professional backend software development experience.

 - Interest in healthcare AI and willingness to work through ambiguous, high-stakes technical problems.


COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Base salary: $120,000 to $190,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available.


LOCATION

On-site, five days per week in San Francisco, California.
