ABOUT THE ROLE

Join the backend engineering team at a consumer gaming company, where you will own significant parts of the engineering system. You will build features and data-driven systems that support core business outcomes while helping the team scale its ability to ship.


WHAT YOU'LL DO

 - Build consumer-facing backend features that improve key business metrics.

 - Develop data-driven systems for challenges such as matchmaking and fraud prevention.

 - Improve engineering processes and delivery systems, including experimentation platforms and CI/CD.

 - Take projects from problem definition through implementation and launch with limited direction.


WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

 - Five to eight years of backend software engineering experience.

 - Proficiency in Go, or the ability and willingness to ramp up quickly; experience with Kubernetes and GCP is relevant.

 - Experience shipping consumer-facing backend features end-to-end and measuring their business impact.

 - Experience in a fast-growing startup or another high-performing engineering environment, with the ability to deliver independently.

 - Background with data-driven systems such as matchmaking, fraud prevention, or recommendations is helpful.

 - Experience with real-time features, payments, consumer gaming, CI/CD, or experimentation platforms is valuable.

 - A degree in computer science or a related technical field is preferred.


COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Base salary: $200,000 to $400,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available.
