Marqeta is seeking a skilled Senior Software Engineer to contribute to the design and delivery of software solutions on our Credit Commercial Engineering Team. In this role, you will take ownership of well-defined features and components within a broader product area, delivering on team goals across quarterly milestones. You will apply your technical expertise to solve moderately complex problems, exercising sound judgment to work through challenges with growing independence. You will collaborate actively with your teammates and cross-functional partners to ensure alignment and drive reliable, high-quality outcomes.

The Impact You'll Have

 - Design and implement high-performance solutions for large-scale, high-volume, and high-velocity financial data and complex compliance landscapes.

 - Develop the software and infrastructure to achieve repeatable and efficient high-quality releases with automation, seeking opportunities to replace redundant tasks and enhance engineering focus on strategic challenges.

 - Debug critical production issues across services and different stack levels.

 - Actively keep customer needs in mind and leverage input from product stakeholders to determine the right technical solutions to deliver customer value quickly.
