WHOOP is hiring a Staff Software Engineer to join the Business Systems team. In this role, you will play a crucial role in architecting, developing, and optimizing the backend infrastructure and user experiences that underpin WHOOP’s internal operations, enabling scale and efficiency across the organization. You’ll design, build and evolve critical services and integrations that support Supply & Demand Planning, Inventory Management, Order Management, Fulfillment & Logistics, Membership Services, and other business functions. This role is designed for a visionary backend engineer who is passionate about building scalable, reliable, and flexible systems, eager to tackle high-impact challenges, and committed to delivering user-centric solutions that pave the way for our growth.




RESPONSIBILITIES:

 - Set technical direction for critical domains within the Business Systems team, establishing an architecture and roadmap that balances immediate business priorities with long-term reliability, flexibility, and scale.

 - Architect, develop, and maintain backend services, APIs, integrations, and internal tools that connect business platforms, reduce manual work, and improve the accuracy and flow of data across systems.

 - Design and implement well-loved user experiences to interact with backend systems.
