About the team + role
Growth is one of Robinhood’s highest-impact engineering areas where you’ll build the experiences and systems that shape acquisition, activation, and long-term customer engagement.
The team works on products tied closely to core company outcomes — including net funded accounts, net deposits, and Gold subscribers. This is where strong execution translates quickly into visible business impact.
As a Senior Backend Engineer on Growth , you’ll be expected to operate with outsized ownership and impact. This is the perfect role for an engineer who can lead high-leverage projects while also strengthening the systems, patterns, and technical foundations that make the broader organization more effective. You’ll partner closely with product, design, data, and peer engineering teams to build reliable backend services, unlock high-impact customer experiences, and raise the scale at which Robinhood can move. The right candidate will act as a force multiplier for the team: driving ambiguous initiatives, shaping architecture, elevating execution quality, and creating durable backend capabilities that extend well beyond any single project.
