ABOUT THE ROLE
Join an early-stage insurtech company building AI-powered tools for insurance claims operations. As the founding product designer, you will shape the end-to-end experience for claims professionals and leaders, turning complex, high-volume workflows into clear, effective products.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Design customer-facing experiences across claims workspaces, operational tools, and executive dashboards, with a focus on making complex claims workflows simple.
- Lead UX research and product instrumentation by reviewing behavioral data and heat maps, speaking with users, and using findings to guide improvements.
- Partner with product leadership, forward-deployed engineers, and the broader engineering team to translate customer needs into workflows and implementation-ready designs.
- Design human-in-the-loop AI interactions that help users understand what agents did, why they did it, what information they used, and when they are uncertain.
- Guide the product's evolution toward an enterprise-ready experience, taking work from discovery through delivery.
- Establish design principles and a design system, prototype with AI tools, and measure whether changes reduce user effort.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Five to eight years of product design experience, including early-stage startup experience as a founding designer or first design hire.
- A portfolio demonstrating UX-first design for dense, technical software used by operators throughout the workday.
