SumUp's Fraud Prevention team sits at the intersection of risk, data and global payments, moving fast to stay ahead of one of fintech's most dynamic challenges: stopping fraud at scale across multiple markets and products.
As part of our global, product-focused approach, this role will contribute to protecting SumUp's acquiring business across Brazil, Mexico and the United States. You'll work using data, analytical thinking and fraud prevention expertise to help reduce losses while protecting approval rates and the experience of our merchants and their customers.
This is an opportunity to work on complex, high-impact fraud challenges in a global environment. We expect you to operate with autonomy, build a deep understanding of fraud performance and turn your analysis into practical strategies and recommendations that improve how we prevent fraud over time.
What you'll do
- Contribute to fraud prevention strategy for SumUp's acquiring business across Brazil, Mexico and the United States.
- Analyze large and complex datasets to identify fraud trends, emerging patterns, performance changes, anomalies and opportunities for improvement.
- Design, configure, test and optimize decision-engine rules, thresholds and authentication strategies in line with business needs and fraud risk.
- Monitor fraud, chargeback, approval-rate and false-positive performance, using relevant metrics to assess the effectiveness of prevention strategies.
