ABOUT THE ROLE
Join a small team building infrastructure for AI-powered products. You will own core platform systems that help the product run reliably at scale, partnering closely with product and engineering teammates to turn open-ended challenges into production-ready solutions.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Build and operate infrastructure for AI agents and machine learning workloads, including durable long-running jobs and model execution.
- Design, deploy, and maintain containerized services and cloud infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code tools.
- Improve the reliability, scalability, and performance of production systems and databases.
- Lead infrastructure work from architecture and data modeling through implementation, launch, and ongoing iteration.
- Use AI coding tools in your daily workflow to accelerate implementation and problem solving.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Two to ten years of experience in infrastructure, platform, or backend engineering, with demonstrated growth into staff, lead, or similarly broad scope.
- Production experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure, Docker, and infrastructure as code using CDK or Terraform.
- Hands-on experience with Temporal or a comparable durable workflow orchestrator, such as Cadence or AWS Step Functions.
- Experience operating cloud infrastructure at significant scale, supporting hundreds of thousands of users, or working with substantial data volumes.
- Strong production database experience, including schema design, scaling, and performance tuning. The stack includes Postgres, Redis, and ClickHouse.
