ABOUT THE ROLE
Join the R&D team at an early-stage robotics company, building software that powers AI-driven robots in production environments. This hands-on role spans the robotics stack, connecting software to physical systems and real-world performance.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Coordinate real-time robot software, motion-planning optimization, and machine-learning pipelines across multiple platforms.
- Build and maintain data-labeling frontends, perception systems, and compilers for robotic systems.
- Work across the stack, from embedded firmware to cloud infrastructure, to address key engineering challenges.
- Collaborate with teammates to design and ship systems for capable, flexible robots.
- Deploy software in customer facilities and improve robotic performance in production.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- One to three years of software engineering experience in robotics, automation, or embedded systems.
- Experience building and shipping software for physical robotic systems, such as robotic arms, manipulation systems, or autonomous hardware, in production or customer environments.
- Strong programming fundamentals and proficiency in Python; TypeScript and React are a plus.
- Hands-on experience with production robotics systems, hardware/software integration, and end-to-end ownership of an engineering outcome.
- A bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, robotics, or a related engineering field.
- Experience in a fast-moving startup or other high-ownership environment, with flexibility to work across changing priorities.
- Familiarity with Doc
